In marriage, selfishness expresses itself when you shift from we-thinking to me-thinking. I don’t mean that you lose your identity in marriage and can’t do anything for yourself. But I do mean that when you do something for yourself, it shouldn’t have a negative impact on the unity, intimacy, and transparency with money you share with your spouse.
