about get naked
You’re looking at a couple that nearly came to blows over a $40 pillow purchase.
And that’s where my story begins.
I didn’t know diddly squat about being married - much less trying to manage money with someone else – when I said I do.
My wife, Elisa, and I have learned a lot about marriage and a lot about building intimacy over money. Through our ups and downs, we’ve managed to pay off nearly $20,000 in debt, create monthly spending plans we both agree on, save for fun stuff like vacations (and retirement!), and give freely to those around us.
Sadly, for so many couples, money becomes the dividing wedge in their relationship. The problem is that money touches everything in a marriage: careers, children, your home, your spiritual life, your cars, your vacations, your in-laws, everything. If we don’t reckon with it, it will reckon with us in one capacity or another.
I wrote Get Naked: Stripping Down to Money & Marriage to encourage couples. You can experience intimacy over money. Money doesn’t have to overwhelm your relationship. And you can actually enjoy the ride, go figure!
So, welcome aboard and prepare to strip down; honesty is the best policy at getnakedbook.com!
Here’s to staying naked!

More about me:
I’m the host of Past Due Radio and the Director of Stewardship at Hope Community Church. For fun, I play the drums and enjoy finding new music to listen to. I love movies (except horror, because I frighten easily) and will happily admit that “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Dumb and Dumber” are in my Top 5. If you want to reach me directly, feel free to do so.
